Media Video Animations – HydroSolutions:
HydroSolutions has used Media Video Animations to visually illustrate and explain complex data sets that vary geographically (i.e. spatially) and over time (i.e. temporally). Applications have included large areally distributed groundwater and service water datasets, solute contaminants migrating in groundwater to affect groundwater dependent ecosystems (e.g. wetlands) and other users of the beneficial resource (e.g. abstraction bores), groundwater and surface water interactions, groundwater levels affected by new or increased license groundwater abstractions for H3 assessments (for Department of Water and Environmental Regulation, DWER), and to illustrate risk assessment exposure pathway and affected receptor concepts in contaminated site projects.
If a ‘picture is worth a thousand words’, then an animation can explain temporal changes (occurring over time) to a sceptical audience.
Our Clients have included AGR Matthey, DWER, Rio Tinto, Coogee Chemicals and Perth Airport et al.
Please find below selected Media Video Animations of Real (i.e. monitored data) and/or Numerical Model simulations of groundwater levels, surface water flow and/or contaminant plumes in 3 & 5 Dimensions! (e.g. x/y/z/c/time etc.). Click on the text links to see a project profile, and on the image links below to see the animations. Enjoy:
